Bikes for sale

Post by Donkey Oaty »

Hi All,

My father is looking to downsize his Morini collection, there are several bikes ripe for restoration and a hoard of parts to help you along the way. He's not on the forum as such, but can be reached on 01743 340389 or 07496 773014, ask for Barry. Bikes/parts are in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, UK.

Thanks.

"Things/stuff" become a problem once you experience trouble because of it. As long as it is there an it doesn not bother you (indirectly) just leave it as it is and enjoy :mrgreen:

I do not know what to say. All I can see is a giant scrap yard, like those I used to visit to find a spare part before we all became rich. You know, the one with an Escort clutch master cylinder in the car at the top of five cars balanced on top of one another.

I think the best bet is to sell what he can for spares and sell the rest to a scrap yard...

I remember Piglet - a hillclimber built and campaigned by Chris Chapman I think

Nice collection of parts, could make a nice 350 sport and strada and enough spare parts to run them for a couple of years.
Tempting, but I'm going to pass on this one, I've got enough morini's to last my lifetime....

Where do you start?

What's for sale and are they going individually or as a job lot?

"Piglet" - so called because Chris Chapman used to live at a house called Piglet in the Wild, just west of Frome in Somerset... He hill climbed it quite successfully, as did his Dad, Tom C. Both sadly no longer with us...

I didn't know Chris had died? When was this, he can't have been very old? I was very fond of both of them. Good eggs and real enthusiasts

Simon;

Chris died a month or so ago - I heard the news from another Hill Climber, although I have no other details. I will get some...

Good riding, while we can!

A quick update, I've found out that Barry successfully sold these bikes earlier this year which is good news for him and the new owner(s). There goes my immediate hope of a wire-wheeled disk-braked 3 1/2 :)

Fear not, Julian - though it is as far again as I am (and really a Strada, I think). https://www.leboncoin.fr/motos/2142972137.htm
