Bikes on Ebay

It is with some interest to see there are several MM's on Ebay but no notification on the forum. Are there so many out there that they don't have owners who are in the Riders?
If the person who is selling the 500 from Italy is on the forum then are we able to get details of the machine via this site?
Thanks.

Hi

Actually - this is a late reply - my Benjy Straw/Phil Smith 400 is on the 'bay currently.

Hope the Camel is going well.

Best

David

Hi
Well that looks nice and I'm sure it goes well and has obviously been a treasure for you. I have no room for it what with aberrations with little red tractors, but if you know someone who wants a really nice 501 Camel then I may be charmed into action.
Thanks for the rear wheel.

George

Well I don't know, Wassuk is selling his very involved and modified 3 1/2 slash 4 and it seems to have stalled on Ebay.
The history looks good and the bike looks well.
Should we discuss his bike as at least some of you must know the bike.
Surely it is of interest to a least 8 bidders?
Any comments would be appreciated so it doesn't leave the UK? Who knows?
Not all of us can get to Reading to enjoy pies to find out the truth about such bikes.
Cheers

Hi George,

I think this is an ebay trait. At first people will try a silly bid then it gets a bit serious with people trying to push a reserve or sussing out the opposition, then the real buyers pile in with 15 seconds to go.... :)

So Micky, is this bike a very special one?
Is it much better than your 500, and what is a reasonable price for such a beast?
NLM seem to sell them for a lot more than they go for on Ebay. I've also nticed then disappearing from Ebay before the sale ends.

Well, I prefer my bikes standard where possible. It is hard to put a price on a non-standard bike. NLM do have bikes for a lot more than they sell on ebay, but you get a warranty and can always take it back if it breaks!!!! How many of the mega expensive ones have sold?

Hi Wassuk, I Hope you made what the bike was worth, seemed like something of special interest to me, I backed off towards the end.
It has a lot of heritage, something to go towards the history of Morini in your youth.
If you have anything that is interesting, please post it for us newbies to see.

Anyone seen the "barn find" cast wheel strada on Ebay at the moment (171044533369). Presumably brought in from Italy along with the two Ducatis listed by the same seller. Anyone on here? Not answering basic questions like does the engine turn over freely is not exactly a good sales technique.
