Old ATG

Post by unreal »

I’m having a clear out and have about 150 old ATGs going back to the 70s (a few copied A4 sheets!) If anyone wants them I’m in Penzance, could post them at cost but they’re quite heavy. Be a shame to just bin them.

If you have no other takers, I'd appreciate them to fill gaps in my collection of the magazines.

I'd need them posting as I'm several 100 miles from you and unlikely to in the area until next year's Lands End Challenge.

I agree it'd be a shame to bin them; I'm currently reading several from 1987 era which I've not read previously and finding many interesting topics and articles in each issue.

Hi Rick,

I have spares of 250, 254 and what I think is 109 (hard to tell with some of the early ones) which I will gladly pass to you to help you complete your set. (Happier still to trade!!)

Some issues from the eras when neither Arthur or I were editor and long before Mr Marlow came and made ATG a thing of beauty and quality, contain technical articles of dubious veracity. You may laugh out loud.

Hi Rick,

PDFs of 8-39 would ve great if you don’t mind sending them to me. At some stage we (the club) want to get all the ATGs digitised and then made available for all members however it’s a time consuming task to do properly and to be honest, the committee do too much already so none of us currently have the time to take on this task.

However if you don’t mind sending me 8-39, that would be a good start and I could begin to upload this into an archive in the club website for members to enjoy.

If they’re email-able please could you send them to me (club chairman email address) and I’ll do the appropriate

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom, this is getting too complex! How do you feel about me posting you the whole lot (at my expense), you can then see if there are the missing ones for the club, then maybe take the rest to the next big meeting where people can arm wrestle for them?
If this works I'll send them to the address in ATG.
I'm afraid I'm having to sell my last Morini and all the bits accumulated over the years, as health issues have intervened and I don't want to leave it until it's too late!
