Selling my stunning, immaculate and rare early model MM 3 1/ 2
I imported the Morini from the Netherlands and UK registered it in July 2017.
I purchased the bike from a Dutch Moto Morini enthusiast who carried out a full restoration and re build to a really excellent standard and true to its original form.
I had the bike checked over and fully serviced in 2018 by Moto Morini specialists North Leicester Motorcycles, an invoice for just under £1000 is in the file.
I just never get round to using the bike and decided to sell after 8 years of ownership. It’s been kept in dehumidified heated garage during my ownership and started up regularly and oil changed a few times.
The Morini sounds fantastic, the engine is very strong and smooth and a joy to ride.
Summery of Notes from the restorer from 2017…
Bike is June 1974 so bearings both side of crank version. Bearings replaced with SKF’s, but right main bearing improved to the later engine design so smoother running.
All new wearable parts in engine rebuild.
Gearbox fork was improved from original design mistake in 1973
New chrome wheels and stainless spokes
Carbs rebuilt
Electric rev counter rebuilt (but stopped working now unfortunately!)
Rebuilt Marzocchi shocks
LED tailgate and other electrical improvements
Feel free to get in touch and ask for more photos or speak to me on the phone.
