501 Coguaro

Post by 100djy »

I am reluctantly selling my 1989 501 Coguaro, the bike is in bits and has been for nearly 2 years, progress has stalled and all I seam to do is spend money on parts that are not being fitted.
I was riding back from France on it when the main bearing failed due to it had only been ridden 240 miles in the last 4 years then I did 1000 miles on it that week end and it went bang !
The engine is stripped and the crank has been reground with new bigend shells and machined to take the roller bearing conversion, I have all the new bearings, seals, gaskets, o-rings etc. and oil filter and Morini cam belt ready for the rebuild.
The frame, swinging arm, stand, rack, engine brackets battery box etc. have all been powder coated as have all the various fairing brackets and exhaust heat shields and end cans.
The rear wheel has a new sprocket and disc fitted and a tyre with lots of tread left. The front wheel has a brand new tyre ready to be fitted.
The forks have new seals and the top and bottom yokes have been resprayed along with the fork legs and a new pair of gold Renthall bars are fitted.
It has a Hagon shock which looks in very good condition.
There can't be many in the country so it must be worth putting back on the road, it just needs a very little amount of money ( the only things missing are the rear chain and battery) and a fair bit of time.
It has stainless exhausts
I will try and place some pictures over the week end but if anyone wants any more information, please pm me. negotiations around £1750, cheers Dean.
