Swinging Arm

Just collecting the parts for the cafe racer special I am planing to build ,trying to keep it in the original era , has any one fitted a box section swing arm off any other the models , always could go the rear disc route as I have a 500 rear wheel minus a disc ?…

Well, I have discovered that a 501 Camel swinging arm can be made to fit in a 2C frame, the width of the pivot area is only a couple of mm wider and modifying the bushes will cure that. Obviously you then have the rear suspension to sort as the monoshock won't work and the attachment will need to be removed from the Camel item.
So I suspect most Morini frames and swing arms will be similar. To get box section though I bet it's easier to build from scratch.

It wouöd be a bit easier to use an Excalibur swingarm, having two rearshocks

Hi, the last of the 500 twin shock Camels have a box section swinging arm, which is longer than the 350 yet shorter than the road 500.
Will fit the 350 frame but the shock mounts are a bit wider plus you'll need to weld on a bracket/block for a drum/disc brake anchor etc
Finding one might be difficult too?
