Hi, I am a newish member. I have a 1976 Sport that came with rearset footrests. Have eventually realised that one of the locating points for these is the swingarm spindle; essentially blocking off the grease nipple point. On the gearchange side of the machine this can be worked around by making an extension to the securing bolt with the nipple in the end. On the brake side there is hardly any room behind the exhaust pipe.
Have any members a workaround for this? Any ideas; it has presumably affected others but couldn't find anything on the Forum. Maybe searching using wrong parameters. Thanks Paul D

It's simply a bolt drilled through the centre and tapped to take a grease nipple; the hole is a smaller diameter inboard of the nipple.

Welcome on board.
Rearsets and greasing is an issue. I resolved this on mine by drilling and tapping the swinging arm and adding a grease nipple to it - see attached image https://www.imagebam.com/view/ME11QF80
Simple to do, apart from having to remove the swinging arm to do the job properly.
It's been like that for at least 30 years now.

Removing the swing arm is a must if yhe bike is new to the current owner. Mine was caked in solid grease. Needed a good clean and the hole for the grease was blocked. All works and feels better with a bit of maintenance. Can see the grease oozing out the ends now.

Might as well check the centre stand whilst your rear end is out. Probably find the bolt is rusted into the tube!

Fair enough.. I Know where you're coming from.

I have rigged up a couple of pairs of rearsets for my race bikes and it's not terribly difficult, although I did need the help of a skilled welder for the foot levers. 

Looking at the Tarozzi parts drawings on the Discovolante site, it would appear that the mounting plates for the 350 and 500 have the same part number. Once you have the dimensions for those, (I sold my Tarozzis but someone on here should know), and worked out all the other dimensions to suit your needs, it's pretty straightforward.
 
You don't need the vernier adjustment that the Tarozzis have. If there is a 'Back Street Heroes' type bike builders around your way, it'll be bread and butter to them.

My understanding is that Tarozzi ceased production some time ago. I would like to be corrected on this however!

I'm not sure on that but I ordered a set of Tarozzi rearsets from https://www.caferacerwebshop.com/en/ a few weeks ago and they've been despatched today coincidentally. They did contact me a couple of weeks ago to say it was taking longer than they would have liked and offered some alternative options but I chose to wait and my patience has been rewarded. I had noticed that the discovolante site warned that the lead time was quite long.

The 500 swingarms have the lefthand greasenipple not at the extreme but on the top of the tube where the Bbush, because of the rear downpipe that makes it dificult/imposible to reach the "normal" nipple
