I have a 76 31/2 Strada and would like to change the light/ horn switch which is the chrome box type to one with everything incorporated inc indicators, could somebody help as to which model & year will fit please ?
I’m sure I have seen a video somewhere showing this on a 3 1/2 but I can’t remember if it was on here or youtube and what it was off
Thanks for looking

Re: indicator / light switch
Hi Barney.
The switch block on my 1983 K1 Sport is a CEV item and the Morini part number is 46.01.32. Mdina don't have any new ones in stock but you could ask them if they have any second hand ones. Possibly they were fitted to other Italian bikes?

I'm not sure what the wiring situation would be for your bike but someone wiser than me could probably advise.
The picture below is not my bike but an earlier one. Under the indicator switch is a horn and flash switch.
Good luck.
Jenny.

Re: indicator / light switch
Hi,
Whilst you can fit the CEV switch from '78(?)on Morinis, and they worked ok when new, the wires used were thinner than those found on christmas tree lights giving a massive voltage loss for the headlamp. They also enabled you to turn the lights off quite easily when going from main to dip beam....
I have fitted Honda NSR125R (JC22) switches on both my Morinis and have no regrets. Same functions as the 1978 CEV plastic switch, but much better ergonomically. Not as many on ebay as there used to be, but still come up for sensible money. The original Honda 'Fireblade' from around 1992-3 is virtually identical but commands a far higher price for some reason. The 125 switch is available new for around £70 from CSMNL.
There is also the Domino 9A left side switch also available new that has the same functions albeit the indicator switch is where my brain expects the horn to be and vice versa. These typically are in the £65-£80 area
Any more details needed, just ask.

Re: indicator / light switch
My '77 3 1/2 Strada has the "chrome box type" switch and it has indicators incorporated into it. If yours has the same switch, then it should as well.barney 66 wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024 18:33 I have a 76 31/2 Strada and would like to change the light/ horn switch which is the chrome box type to one with everything incorporated inc indicators, could somebody help as to which model & year will fit please ?

Hi Barney.
If you are looking to obtain a switch box like the one in Charlie's photo, and if the screws are 38mm between centres, then I believe a box for the Moto Guzzi V7 Sport should fit. Gutsibits may be able to help.
