I am just about to order fork seals and fork oil for my Strada with 35mm Marzochi forks and I was wondering what is the best type of oil to get. Mineral, semi-synthetic, synthetic or Olive oil to honour the Italian heritage.

I have been told synthetic oil is not good for older style rod damped forks plus it can bypass seals and leak.

I was thinking of ordering Castrol 15w synthetic.

200mL of for example 10wt fork oil should do it. I use Silkolene RSF10, mainly because bloke round the corner sells it.
