Afternoon
Sorry if this is an obvious one, must the fuel taps always be turned off, even if you’re only stopped for a short while?
I always turn them off when I come home and leave the bike in the garage m, is it still the case if I nip somewhere for a coffee? TIA

I always turn fuel taps off, why wouldn’t you? Coming back to a bike with fuel glugging out from a carb with a stuck float needle scores no points. It is far too expensive to waste.

Plus the risk of hydraulic lock and a bent con rod...
The bike should have a solenoid tap, so no need to tinker...

Thanks both, as I thought-Micky I’ve got the original ‘electronic’ taps but traditional analogue ones are in my bike from previous owner(s)
