:?: can any one list the possible causes of a mild speed wobble at 80mph with out stearing damper fitted.i think if i fitted a stearing damper it would just hide the problem :?:

Correct me if I'm wrong (somebody)- this sort of thing normally originates at the back wheel, doesn't it?

Could it be a combination of worn s/arm bushes and squared-off back tyre?

it just passed its m o t 100 mile ago.so swing arm bushes should,nt be the problem.the rear tyre shape is ok i am puzzled by it :?

Is there any chance the head bearings could be too tight?

Alternatively you might have a slightly over-sized rear tyre?

as i said before it passed its m o t 100 mile ago and today i checked the the head bearings for play, wheel bearings, forks, shocks and swing arm bearings. the only problem i found was----------a little play in the swing arm bearings !!!! so much for the m o t :x :?: :?:
