I hope that road was bone dry, Peter. I didn't let you have her just to get the underneath of the mudguards all wet and mucky
All the best. Steve

You ought to have a go on this bugger when it's finished, Peter. You'll be pleased to know that brass from the Morini is now helping to fund it. Still a long , expensive way to go, but I got all the paintwork done before the end of summer, and got the engine to a stage where it can go back into the frame a couple of days ago. New Amal carb arrived today so tomorrows job will be to polish that.
I have been trying to assess whether the sideboard would take the engine as it seems such a shame to get it all oily

The 'powerplant' - it weighs nearly as much as the 3 1/2 even though it looks like 1/2 a 3 1/2

There is something very pleasing about a Panther. I always remember being behind one In Bristol in about 1977. We were held up by roadworks, the rider dismounted and lit a cigarette, whilst the bike just ticked over very slowly. I shall refrain from making remarks about oily patches as I was on a T150 myself.

The Panther is almost ready for the road now, John. This was the bike last Monday after I'd collected it from Alldens Exhausts in Lincolnshire having had a set of stainless pipes made. Just the final few tweaks and polishing of the odd nut and bolt left to do. Gonna be a shame to get it mucky after all this

I had hoped to get it out later this week but the buggers were out and about with the salt again last night
