so i bought tarozzi stanchions for my 350 sport from tarozzi via wemoto (not pantah) but my cap tops have a different thread, possibly 1.5 and the forks seem to be 1.25, looking about the web
its possible that paoli forks had 1.25 thread can anybody confirm?

Hi Steve,
Sorry but I can't help you re: Paioli, but I had the same issue with Tarozzi stanchions 5 years ago, but back then I was able to see NLM. Rob came to the counter with a box of used tops and I was able to get a pair that fitted. Maybe worth talking to Mdina and asking the question if they could look in their box?

The thread on my original Paioli fork top nuts is 1.5. They're on a 1975 Strada.

Sorry Steve, no different numbers. Was the box of s/h nut and a sort through.
But. An interweb search brings up www.classicducati.com . Do a search for item SS21and all will be revealed! Do lots of little items of interest to Morini owners.
Regards, George.

I'm pretty sure it is. Going back to your original question regarding thread pitch, If you don't have a thread gauge, then get yourself a standard 6mm and 8mm bolt. Place each bolt in turn into the threads in the top of your fork tubes and only one will accurately mesh into the threads.
If it is the 6mm, then the classic ducati ones are what you need (1mm pitch). If it is the 8mm then you have a problem and will need something else (1.25mm pitch)
I've only ever seen them in 1 or 1.5mm pitch though, and my Tarozzi stanchions are 1mm.
Regards, George.
