I have one or two questions dealing with the fork damper of our 35 mm Marzocchis (Tremezzo like 500):

The dampers have some sealing plastic segments. It seems that there are two versions: the older ones have two of those segments (as to be seen at the foto) and the „modern“ ones do have only one segment (probably a bit wider). I supose (don´t know that) that these inner design-change came when Marzocchi also changed the outer design oft he immersion tube (?). There are some diferences between the early and later immersion tubes. Most obviously is where the mudguards are fixed. These parts at the older version (for drum brake as well as disc brake) are flat. The later model (like the fork of Rocinante a 1980 K Model) have these parts rounded. I believe that the change must have come nearly about the same time as the new bended frame. Can anybody confirm this theory: older immersion tube design= two damper segments, younger version= 1 damper segment ?

Does anybody know where to find these plastic segments of the dampers?

The ones that are on my 350 have the rounded mudguard mounting and 2 piston rings on the fork damper.
