Manual

Right, I have finally started work on the 350 Strada I bought some time ago and have had a look at the CD I got off ebay. The trouble is I am a simple soul and need step by step instructions to do stuff on bikes and the CD just doesn't have that. Does anybody know if there is a Haynes manual or anything similar that I can get hold of to get me started?
Thanks
Derek

The blue manual as it is known, covering the 125/250/350 & 500 is the main manual available. No haynes available, best thing is to search on here, if you can't find what you want just ask. Most of us have carried some form of maintenance on our bikes.

Having written a reply I think it didn't submit.....
An easy engine to work on (not much help if you have not)
Some special tools may be needed, though you can work around most of it.Mostly involved in holding parts whilst undoing retaining nuts.
Disconnect the battery first. When refitting the earth points blue wires to the crankcase bolt behind the rear cylinder, clean the eyes up.
Make a template out of card for all the cover screws so they go back the same.
Ensure you make CLEAR notes of any wiring.
Ensure you know which way round washers /clutch etc go -make notes again.
Perhaps photograph each stage-A good idea I have never yet done.
I cover my bench in white paper eg upside down wallpaper ( an invention of the devil I know) then lay out the parts, labelling the positions on the bench.
The blue book is OK. I could not understand how to refit the kickstart mechanism. This was hardest bit for me. Info posted here helped.
Torque settings- coming from a BMW I found this a grey area. There are some noted in the blue book.
When refitting the generator the shaft must be clean, dry and grease free.(carb cleaner is good, which you will have left after doing the carbs(one at a time mind)
I have a spare generator rotor puller, pm me if you want it-brand new, accidentally bought 2 once. (don't ask)
