HI all!
i try to start my morini 501 but he cant start.I set up belt on marks,i set valve,i watch video on yt about paul how to put pick up so i put it like he show on video but nothing morini wont start,only sometimes fire from exhaust.when i turn pickup on aonther side morini kick back and he almost start;
what i need to do now i do all like shows in manual and in videos but nothing,only when i turn pickup on another side he almost start.
someone please help i need to start him allready

Was it running before you replaced the belt?

yes!

Is the belt out by 180 degrees? If you bring the front cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke (both valves closed) the timing mark on the camshaft pulley should be at the bottom out of view, not at the top. Well, mine is and it starts.

So, belt correct. Timing marks set for static timing - knobbly bit of flywheel in centre of pickup with timing marks lined up.
Both coils have power. Spark at plug when kicked. Carbs clean.

If all set then it will start without kicking back.

Are you an MRC member? If so you can download the later engine manual.

As mentioned previously try what Paul Compton advise me! See below.

When I have a bike turn up with no spark, I break it down to the most basic setup.

Pull all green wires from the fuse panel.

Connect the green wire from the alternator directly to the ignition boxes.

ah, OK. Was thinking it was Kokusan. Have you checked the trigger wires are going to the correct transducers?
