My electric fuel tap is dripping when off - how to repair?

Take it off strip it down check the seals and replace if perished. If thats too difficult replace it with a manual tap from NLM! Easy..!! :twisted:

The previous owner of bike did this, and I only know because he left me with the old (presumably broken) bits. Forgive my ignorance, but why would an electric fuel tap be used in preference to manual, and how does it work - is there a button to press to switch over?

So you don't forget and leave the fuel on.

There is no button, the fuel just comes on with the ignition. Personally I find it a nice feature, though clearly not essential.

The electric tap gives a reassuring clonk when you turn the ignition on. As Paul says, you don't need to remember to switch the fuel tap off. The manual tap on the right is normally only used for reserve.

Ah! I misunderstood. I thought it was used to switch to reserve, so that you're not fumbling for the tab as you ride along.
