ISO Sport Fender & Fork Tubes

Post by danomar »

I finally got my 1978 350 Sport back from the shippers on Monday. It is in mostly good condition, but the carton was tipped over and left that way for an extended period. Oil seeped into the heads enough to leak out at the joint where the muffler joins the rear head pipe.

The front wheel arrived approximately 15 degrees to the left of the rest of the front end. I am going to file a claim for new fork tubes and a front Sport fender. It seems sensible that these items might have been bent in the process of being thrown about.

Can anyone recommend a source for good quality fork tubes?

Does anyone have or know where I could find a good original short front fender? I could try to bend mine back, but it will never be quite right, methinks.

Anything else that I should consider replacing? The wheel seems to be true. I loosened all the pieces and got it straight enough to ride, but I do not want to take too many chances. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks in advance!

Daniel

I recently bought fork tubes from NLM for a reasonable price.
