Twin front disc conversion

In relation to 1977 350 Sport with single front disc brake on Borrani Spoked rim.
Has anyone had any experience with converting a single front disc on Borrani spoked rim to a dual front disc?
I would need a second disc and Grimeca caliper. Would anyone be able to sell me these?

Might be easier trying a smaller master cylinder, which should give better 'feel' to the brakes.
Otherwise, I have a spare disc and caliper, though another lister has already asked about them.

What would you need for the pair? I have read that the master cylinder is good when two discs are connected. However I am not sure if there are holes in the other side of the hub.

There will be no problem.
You just need a second disc and have to convert the lefthand caliper into a right one, changing the place of one bolt.
And you must cut down the diameter of the tacho-drive cover (or use one from the enduros).
There is noo need for a 19mm master cilinder, it works with the 16mm ones and even better with 13 mm.

Are the mounting holes under the steel cover plate on the right hand side?

Hi Mark,
I don´t know where you can find one. I ´ve found a 13 mm Grimeca for clip ons in my spare parts. We already had that issue in another post. As far as I know the one disc morinis came with a 16mm pump and the twoo disc bikes like the 500 with 19mm pumps. But a 16mm one will do.
For a less wooden brake you should try even a smaler master cilinder. My bike has a Borrani dobledisc wheel with the normal calipers, a 13mm master cilinder and stainless steel pipes. And it is a twoo finger brake.

On of the benefits of a forum, is that you can search or browse through old discussions.
I have written many, many, times that the 250 twin uses a 14mm mastercylinder.

Indeed. I will soon be investigating whether the 2C one for the project can be resurrected.
