Does anyone have experience of these tyres on a 3 1/2?. I have a pal who swears by them (in a good way) on his Ducati. they are however radial ply, and the Sport Demons I have fitted now are not. I'm hopeful someone will have an opinion?. Looking at the fitment maxxis guide it says 90 90 18 C906 front, 400 18 C180 rear.
Anyone have those fitted?

A modern 100/90 is really too wide. The original Pirelli 100/90 on the front of my K1 sport was narrower than the 90/90 Avon Roadrunner I had on my '77 Sport.

Look at the recommended rim widths.

No experience of Maxxis tyres.

I can't see the tyres you are talking about in the post,,,However, I can talk about the 90/90-18 tyre size vs the 100/90-18 size.

1- a larger person riding on pot-holed streets should be better off with the larger tire size on the bike…

2- Reducing the tyre sizes one step front and rear will take out OVER 7 lbs of rotating mass from the wheel assemblies….
The bike will accelerated like it is 20+ lbs lighter overall… One can really feel a difference, and the bike will turn in quicker and be more nimble overall…

3- Ground clearance will be reduced and the shimmy damper might need to be in good repair as high speed stability will be slightly compromised slightly…

4- Final gearing will be about 3.5% lower due to the smaller diameters and so the speedometer will be off by that amount as well. Rear sprocket change can handle the gearing easily….

5- I had Avon a 90/90-18 on the front and a 100/90-18 on the rear of the my LSR "the Baron" when it went 121.147 mph last month at El Mirage. I am not going back to the larger sizes.

Didn't catch the 4.00 rear.

That's the wrong size. it's too tall and likely to be unstable on the centre stand. A 4.10 was factory listed for the rear for some years and is a lower profile.

Note that the minimum rim width listed for an Avon 90/90-18 is 1.85" (our front rim width), it's 2.15" for the 100/90.

OK then folks, anything bad to say about the Avons?, I assume RoadRiders?, can't find anything else in the 90 front 100 rear.

There have been some bad batches in the past with sidewall cracking problems and they can be very difficult to get up onto the bead (see a recent discussion).

I've had the entire Cadwell circuit to myself for a couple of laps in (very) wet conditions, I really like the Roadriders.

That sounds lik a good review, I'll look into prices.
I had real problem getting my Sport Demons to sit on the bead, turns out the powder coating on the inside of the wheel was thick enough to make the difference, rubbed that back and hey presto they popped on with relitive ease.
