31/2 Exhaust,

Recently purchased 31/2 sport,done a few miles on it after sorting out the starting,just noticed front cylinder exhaust nut not in fully,removed,found the threads
are not quiet proper.Doe's any body know were i can hire or get a tap to clean up the threads in the head.

It's a close tolerance thread, so even if someone has a tap, it probably won't do. You'll end up with a loose fit.

NLM will weld in a new insert, but it's not cheap. I've done it, but it's quite a bit of work, so I'm not offering it as a service right now.

If it just needs the threads cleaning up, you might get away with chasing them. A plug that holds a smaller tap of the right pitch is one trick.
