Electronic tacho repairs/restoration

The topic started by Gary on the 500 page prompts me to ask if anyone has a recommendation for getting the old electronic tachos fixed? My 350 has never had a decent tacho since it was new in 1977! The original just waved all over the place and what's on it now is completely dead. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Someone who can service mechanical tachos, can also tackle the mechanical side of the electronic version.

The electronics in the tacho were obsolete decades ago and the chip long since unobtainable. A new circuit would have to be designed.

Thanks Paul, have since noticed there is a 'calibrated by Peter Bond' sticker on the base of mine, and he advertises as doing Italian clocks. I'll give him a call. About designing a new chip, is that something you might be doing?

He looks to offer a comprehensive service so you should be able to get it properly sorted.

I had my 350 sport clocks both completely rebuilt and converted to MPH. Andy Barraclough from speedy cables did a fantastic job.

Yes, speedy cables do great work but be prepared to wait! speedy they're not.... Guess they're in demand.
