Looking for a 350

Hi Guys, I'm new to the Morini forum but thought I would say hello. I have always loved the 350 Morini's and have hankered after one for ages. Got to that point in my life where I would like to start to look for one but need some guidance and thought there is no better place to start than here.
Well what am I looking for, I guess the ultimate would be an early drum braked 350 Sport, I would ideally like one that has been restored and or is ready to go understand that would come at a price, alternatively I don't mind looking at something that needs some TLC but it will be a sliding scale on the price point I assume, however need to start somewhere.
Are there models/years to avoid? Specific issues that need to be looked at before purchasing?
Any information would be most welcome. Bloke.

Keep an eye out on here or if you are in a hurry. Try north Leicester motorcycles, who I can recommend. Most of their Bikes come with 1 years warranty, and they are marque specialist. Most morini's are well sorted being 30-40 years old, unless you buy a project. Good luck.

Ah, but we do like them very much. :D keep checking back as they do come up on here fairly often.

Where are you based?

Your location is going to be helpful otherwise you will get messages from our global community and many will be useless, probably.

That said, there is a 350 Morini for sale here in NZ and you might be pleasantly surprised by a shipping quote to wherever you are. Many, many Morini have crossed the globe to new owners.
Cheers,
DD

Worth popping into Ellistown and NLM - they are very informative - originality seems to be key with values

originality seems to be key with values
In your favour, I think "seems" is the key word. A little time owning a Morini will show that these bikes are not slaves to the idea that "original" means identical.

According to Mick Walker's Morini book, the factory was run on a hand-to-mouth basis in keeping with typical Italian industrial politics of the '70s and '80s. History shows they were built and finished with what was available on the shelf that week. It is common on this forum to read conversations between owners with bikes 5 numbers apart that show differences.

So, someone offering a bike that has the most desirable options and fits the ideal poster-image, has a guarantee and probably with pics of work done, may well ask a just price for peace of mind that you are getting "the real deal." It will be the real deal ... but what I am really saying is, don't get too hung up on looking for something that actually is known to not exist.

Hope you find something.
Cheers,
DD

We love them so much, we don't want to part with them?

How do. Are you at the classic endurance thing at Snetterton, weekend after next? I'm up there on my 350 Sport on the Friday.

Alternatively, the club's got a stand at the Stafford Show that weekend and we'll happily chat about Morinis all day!
