Hello All in the UK,
I haven't written a lot about how the Supercharged Morini has been doing, so I'll try to give you all some up dated information.
The Morini has had to deal with gross fuel mixtures issues, bad weather at Bonneville (All events cancelled this year), and a lack of top speed at El Mirage at times.
The fuel mixture issues, I think, are now cured and the next test session at El Mirage should confirm or disprove this. I've been dealing with very lean roll on throttle mixtures that have severely hurt the Morini ability to accelerate hard and get itself into top gear early enough to post a good top speed through the timing traps.
It seems that a screw type restrictor plug in the carburetor accelerator pump came loose and had the accelerator pump jammed and totally inoperational.
Nothing to be done about the weather and horrible erosion conditions at Bonneville except wait and hope for better next Summer.
Top speed numbers that the Morini has been able to put up have seemed a bit low to many of you and myself as well.... Until I took a good look at the numbers being posted by many of the other bikes running in the same heat (95 degrees or more) and elevation (2800 feet - 850 meters or so) above sea level.
Take a look at these bikes,,, They all have one thing in common in that the Supercharged Morini is faster that all of them, and is getting faster every time it goes out now....

Great update Robert, keep them coming.
Sounds pretty impressive, beating some trick looking bikes.
All the TV programmes I've seen of Bonneville, everyone seems to underestimate the effects of altitude, even guys who have been before!
