Folks,
Looks like I'm going top need a rebore on my Sport, so, I'm looking for opinions on boring to 64mm for a 375 conversion. Is it worthwhile?. According to Paul the NLM regrind on my cam will be an L5.
Any opinions gratefully received.
Alan.

375 plus L5 cam goes well. Add 28mm carbs for even more fun. For best effect nail the motor in to a 250 frame ;)

A 64mm bore takes you from 344 to 367cc and will definitely make a difference.

For similar cost you might consider going to 67mm for 402cc.

Paul,
Now that sounds interesting!. Do NLM have the pistons?, or would I have to source them elsewhere?. How about carburation?, would the original carbs do for the moment?. Any downsides?
I assume after that there would be no further overbore facility left and the barrels would have to be lined if it needed it in the future, mind you, I'm no spring chicken so the chances are it wouldn't occur?.
OOOH, now I'm getting all excited!.

At the moment Ducati Developments are the only suppliers I know of for the 402cc conversion. I bought in a pair of pistons for someone elses race bike and had a pair of barrels bored.

I'm working on my own version of the conversion, but it's some way down a long list of stuff to be done.

Wolfgang Tritsch sells 66mm pistons for the old barrels (not nikasil)
