Supercharged Morini return from EL Mirage

Well Guys,,,, the good news first.
The Morini was able to make a pass at El Mirage, the temps stayed within limits for the first time, and the air temp was 95 degrees F and going up.
The Bad News..... It only ran the same speed as it did last year without the fairing,,,, 108 mph !
What!! ! The fairing added Nothing Speed Wise ???
The fairing wasn't the problem,,,, I had been noodling around with the the Ignition advance curves and I stupidly turned the rev limiter down to its lowest setting instead of up to its highest .
Whoops ! the limiter kicked in at 7800-7900 rpm which is 108 mph with the current gearing....
My friends asked what happened as they could hear the motor pulling hard when it just went flat. " Yeah", I said, "it felt like it was going up to 120 no problem when the ignition limiter cut it off....
So, the fastest 350-pushrod pass will not be equaled or maybe exceeded till Oct 19th....
