Embartassing question of the day:

Where does this bit go? I'm refitting the rear wheel after completely stripping if for painting. I put all the spacers, washers etc on the spindle in the correct order for safe keeping but can't work out where this part goes. I reckon it's on the sprocket carrier side. there doesn't seem to be space in between the wheel bearing and carrier (inside the cush drive) and can't see where else it would go.

That's the inner race from a broken bearing.

Thanks Paul, no idea why I put it on the spindle when I bagged up the parts. I've learn't that you just can't take too many photos or make too many notes when stripping a bike down to the frame.
