first you will have to remove the allen bolts, I tried and failed and had to get them drilled out a local engineering chap did it for me , and supplied the new allen bolts to go back in, before fitting the new bolts I washed it through with petrol and used a thin type bottle brush to clean the inside of the crank, don't forget to use a bit of Loctite on the bolt threads when you put them back in also they have to be quite tight. hope this helps . muller.

Be Sure the Big one goes in far enough not to drag on the bearing !
I had to file mine down to get it flush ( before i installed for good) to clear....
What I flushed out of the crank explained the wear grooves in the bearings inserts,,,,super fine metal that the screen didn't stop,,,,The big chunks are from drilling out the allen screws
I've added a high-temp magnet to the sump to trap most of what the tranny generated....

Hmm, my large sludge trap plug is way too big! It measures 10mm long where by the one that came out is only 8mm. It came from a reputable Morini dealer, so just waiting for a reply as to whether i have the wrong one or something! If not its going to require a heck of a lot of filing to fit!!

looks like its time to get out the files!! Apparently they are often too long and just need filing to suit. Also just to answer a previous question i asked and just for everyone else information, the plug should just be done up 'tight' with some loctite on them, not torqued. Now where did i put that file........
