seat logo

has anyone had a go stencilling a morini logo on back of seat with any success , and if so hows it done without making a pigs ear of it , or should it be left alone, high art equals low life I think that's how the saying goes. not so mad muller.

I had a go about 4 years ago.I printed the word Morini onto card ,then cut out the letters.Stuck on the seat and painted in the letters, then removed the card. well....its sort of ok.
Lucky its not Autozodiaco, Beardmore Precision or Gnome et Rhone

yea thinking of doing something similar what paint did you use? if someone wants to section me there welcome , as this could turn into a real mess a lasting tribute to a bodge up, I do like " gnome et rhone " I might use it sounds great , I can see myself doing such a thing! yours sincerely tarquin biscuitbarrell.

i just used an old BMW white touch up paint left over from when i had a nice white old BMW with proper chrome bumpers. Not too thick and gloopy.
Might be better to source some e.g.white sticky back vinyl instead of card?

try marking out the letters lightly with a chinagraph pencil and paint the letters with bouncy castle paint, try ebay for the paint, if is a old seat you will need to use a cleaner on the pvc, ebay again. Do not put the paint on to thick it will run best to use 2 / 3 coats.

well spotted george350 for that one so they do exist have got some wooden letters to draw round on piece of card to make stencil , it looks mental on the mock up as the font looks well not bike more like" learning to read with lenny" might go with it , thanks for all replies . still mad muller.

Beware of how you clean the seat after getting a new logo. I had the 2C seat refurbished by Leightons. Lovely job with a blingy gold MORINI on the back. Not sure what I got on it during a cleaning session but is now very faded. To be honest though I think I prefer that way.
