Kirby Rowbotham ignition system

When I enquired about this system the total cost added up to £295 ! Has anybody on this forum bought one and is it worth the price?

Whasname used to have one on his chopper, err... Brummie, Pete ________ (help me out here- it'll come to me).

They're OK, but you need a good battery for the bike to run. And with the vagaries of the charging system...
