Broken choke lever

Hi all,

Just started up my 1973 Strada and the choke lever on the right Dell'Orto VHB25B carb broke. The plastic on the left choke lever is similarly faded so may not last too long either! Any suggestions for repairs/replacements?

Thanks,

Mike

I should try Eurocarb, the carburettor people not the activate carbon products manufacturer, and if you find they still have them, let me know please.

We're they expensive? Mine have broken too. Unlike yours they are alloy as were the ones on my last morini. I had thought of fabricating new levers if I keep my current bike,or maybe a conventional choke level.

These look the same but don't know for sure,
scooter shops that do bits for old scooters
often turn up bits that fit Morini's electrical
bits lights and so on.

The one I bought was £14.65 less VAT/postage so PM Tuning is significantly cheaper. The part code 8294 is correct.

I always wondered, if you drifted out the pin that holds the lever, could you flatten off the bottom corners to allow for a half-choke position? Has anyone tried this?
Cheers,
Dom
