Clutch drum removal

I'm trying to remove the clutch drum in order to replace the seal behind it. Oil is seeping past it and oiling the plates.

I've gotten the clutch plates out with no problem, but the drum itself is another matter. The blue book says to tap on the screws in a diagonal fashion, but that's not working. I tried just pulling on it and that's not budging it either. Does anyone who has removed theirs have any tips?
Thanks,

Normally it comes off fairly easily, remove the 4 allen bolts and pull drum with pliers.

If it's really stubborn, then take off the clutch casing.

With the casing on the bench, tap the two drive dowels out of the clutch basket and into the primary drive gear.

You should then be able to get the basket off easily.

Just done mine, I couldnt get it to budge either (from being stood I guess).... I fitted longer bolts as the book suggests and no amount of tapping would free the basket. Ended up doing the above advice, much easier to do it on the bench aswell

Thanks all,
I was able to remove it by removing the clutch housing. Now I have a good excuse to get that powdercoated black. The original black paint on the cases is getting quite worn.
