I have a '74 drum brake 3 1/2 Sport with Marzocchi front forks. My springs are in need of replacement and I wondered if anyone had the specs so I can order from Hagon or Progressive or ?

Hagon know which fork springs are right for Morinis: just tell them the year and that you've got the Marzocchi forks. You could always check by measuring the free length of your original springs, bearing in mind that they might have sagged a bit over the years.

Thanks - I did ping the Hagon distributor in the US here and he said they had no listing for the Sport - just sent me a pdf of the application listing I had already seen on the web.

I guess I need to go to the source in the UK for the info - but order from the us distributor.

Would it be worth asking Hagon direct to see if they will send them over? It might be cheaper than having your local dealer supply?

I have the box that my Hagon springs came in and it says on the label Yamaha XV535 88>.

I bought these from NLM a year or two ago for my 75 Strada and can confirm they are very good and a big improvement on the original springs .

Wouldn't go through a dealer...we have a good distributor with a online website. I've gotten rear shocks from him before at good prices. Bulk shipping is always good to reduce costs.

Ah! Just the info I was looking for. A nice to have a from the road perspective.

There is always the scientific approach.

Tell the spring supplier how much weight is on the front wheel (rider included) and what kind of ride you're after (touring, sporting, track day, etc.) along with the free length.

With light bikes, rider weight makes a bigger difference to the optimal spring rate.
