Erratic tacho

My Strada tacho is behaving erratically, especially at low revs when it tends to start indicating 4000+. Any advice?

Yeah,they all do that sir,my speedo was worse than my tacho,tootling along through town at about 30'ish it would be showing 75!!..........

Have a look at the 'Some advice: tacho/speedo' thread a little lower down. There should be some information there, mostly saying 'they all do that!'
