tank swap

After spending too many hours trying to patch up my sport tank I have found a guy that has a 250 and a 500 tank for sale. My question is will the 500 tank fit? If not will a 250 single tank fit and will I still be able to use the air filter housing of the sport?

Hi Andy, the 250 tank will basically be too short where the 500 tank will be too long. What front mounting do you have on the 3 1/2? Bolt on or slide on? I might be interested in swapping the 500 tank for one of my bolt on 3 1/2 tanks depending on the condition

Hi Hendre,
I will get the owner to send some pictures to me and will then forward them to you. I asked him what bolt on tanks he has, so assume its a bolt on. We will see when the pictures turn up.

500 tanks were never bolt on.... that is why I am looking for one
