Hi all, I have just bought a Strada am trying to identify it! The frame number is K 22537, it's a kink frame, with twin discs. The engine has no number stamp, so I think it must have been originally sold in Italy but has a K cast on the cases. It has no electric start but looking at how the gear shift is a little proud I suspect it has been removed and a slimmer non electric cover fitted. The body work looks like it's K.
Any thoughts

Trying to identify my Strada
Re: Trying to identify my Strada
So what is it you're asking?
You know it's a Strada.
You know it's a 'K' version.
K has drum rear, K1 has a disc.

Re: Trying to identify my Strada
What is (was) throwing me is that I thought K's had straight frames and K1 kinked, everything else says K, and yes it has a drum rear.
So probably a late K?

Re: Trying to identify my Strada
I have a '82 K with a kinked frame... single disk and rear drum.
I'll have to have a look for the frame number

Si;
And to answer the implied query - yes, a previous owner has replaced the electric starter with a slimmer casing.
The kinked frame came in about '81 to the UK with red framed Sports, - and there was a 'K2' (tested in the UK around the end of 1983, start of '84...). There was also an American specification version with larger fairing and mirrors. At about the same time the gear change swapped sides, and the 500 went over to a six speed gearbox.
More importantly - does it go and are you enjoying it? Good riding,
CC

K21284.. so before yours and indeed with kinked frame. Who's got one earlier with the kink, maybe we can settle the kinked question once and for allhendre wrote:I have a '82 K with a kinked frame... single disk and rear drum.
