Fuel Petcock Replacement

Any rather common and available fuel petcocks to replace a leaking reserve petcock on my 1975 Strada.

Also, the kickstarter pawl seems to not enage at the top of the kick, but rather in the middle. Makes for a rather short stroke to get it started. Have yet to start the bike, all is ready except for the leaking fuel petcock. The plugs get plenty of spark, just a very short stroke.

Thanks

Yamaha Majesty 250; £12 a pair on ebay.

If it returns ok, they you probably just need to reset the position of the lever.

Thanks

Will try and reset the kick starter a few more degrees, see what happens.

My sport came with two leaky petcocks. The electronic one had been removed by a PO and I had two manual Brev Orlandi "sugar cube" petcocks. I just found a set of replacement Brev Orlandi look alike petcocks on Ebay. These have the hose fitting exiting the rear of the petcock (opposite side of the lever) just as the originals, only difference from original is that they have three positions: off, on and res. Let you know the qualify once I get them.

Guzzi V35 models might fit. They do on my Camel and Valentinitank.

They do. I just bought a V50 (same as V35/V65 I believe) one and that fits. I put it where the reserve tap is but now need to find a blanking nut for where the electric tap was. (That had a hardened diaphragm that wouldn't soften up ... so it went).

But I'd just visit a Guzzi dealer and get one new as I they are less than £15 here in the UK. If you're in the US that probably means about $10! Boy do we get ripped off on car/bike prices over here ....
