I have ordered a 1N4001 diode just need to check which way round to fit it. Is it colour band end towards switch or away from switch. I am not sure which way the little goblins in the wires run. Where Sherlock Omes comes in I have no idea.morini_tom wrote: ↑14 May 2023 19:30The diode is normally inline between the green wire from the ignition switch and the fusebox, at the fusebox end. But it’s often missing. If you need to add a new one then see this post for some suggestions:Fastmongrel wrote: ↑13 May 2023 21:55
I connected to the original ignition wiring system and nothing was removed so if there was a diode in the wiring it will still be there. However if I do need to fit a diode what type should I get.

Hadn't thought of that I hope the Inland Revenue don't monitor this forum I could become the diode king making as much as £18 a yearSteve Brown wrote: ↑15 May 2023 20:01 Sell the remainders off on here-£1.50 each incl p&p and you'll be slightly better off!
