Hi Tremoto,
That is very interesting. I part ex the morini for a Gilera Nordwest (The 9th Benjy imported) and it was as the picture above shows. But after a month and no real interest Benjy removed the tank(made in aluminium by a specialist in Potters Bar), seat(made by Jon Green of Elby) and the fairing(TZ350 with lightweight aluminium frame made by me), and from the other bits (original tank/seat etc) i gave him put it back to 'more' standard!!
If you know where the tank is that may be of great use for Hendre.
Thanks for the info.
Brian.

John, I am planning to rebuild it the coming year and I have all the Turbo parts from this bike (purchased form Brian). I got lots of info from him and we shared some ideas on how to alter the engine to get the most out of it. Do you still have any tech info and/or parts that I could use in the rebuild?
Greetings from the Netherlands, André

What an interesting story. I actually have that seat, buying it from Benjy and Phil, I distinctly remember the turbo bike which was by then standard. Benjy and Phil explained some of the bike's history to me but unfortunately I couldn't afford the tank at the time but do know who bought it and he still has it. Reading the post about the Elby F3 and looking at this threadand this makes me realise what a piece of British Moto Morini history these parts really are. It would be nice to reunite them!

I am planning to start up the turbo project after the summer... would indeed be really great if the seat and tank make it onto the bike again!

Hi Matt,
I remember the Benelli sitting in the showroom for quite a while, John tried to get me to buy it, (i think he wanted £2100) but i wasn't keen as it was certainly used!!! He did have an early MV 750 in there too, but that was a fortune.
I came across another pic of my father on the Turbo, just after we had spent hours trying to bleed the new twin disc conversion, you can see that the pipe unions just above the mudguard weren't in the right place yet, but at least it wasn't spongy.
The carb can be seen between the 'V' and it never ran with a filter!! An oil pressure gauge is above the instruments.

Hi there, anyone still got the link to it?? I missed seeing the parts......
If it is the same one, it was made out of aluminium by a company in Potters Bar. It did crack around the from mount though, i had to get it re-welded a couple of times!!

Moto Morini 350/500 alloy petrol tank
( 111942473296 )
Fairing and seat for Moto Morini 350
( 111942482719 )

Try the above, tank sold for £156, seat and fairing for £47.

Thanks Pedro,
Ah yes, that is the right stuff!!! The fairing support is missing, but as i said previously it was a pattern TZ350 item
