I'm a newbie on this site and have recently managed to buy back my same '78 3.5 Strada 22yrs after I sold it! Once you've had a Morini you can't stop loving em!
It's been through the wars a bit and of course I'm in the throws of restoration ( after paying for Morini bits I find lying down in a dark room helps to get over the shock!)
I'm making up a new loom and the 6 pole ignition switch has me a bit baffled. I've taken it apart and cleaned all the contacts and renewed the tiny springs inside. I reassembled the switch in the same configuration as is came apart and checked the continuity of the switch via the wire terminal blades on the back with these results:
Position
1. Off: Green and Blue wires connected
2. Ignition: Nothing appears to connect up?!!!
3. Lights: Red and Brown connected. Yellow and Yellow/Black connected.
Hmm.. is this right? If nothing connects up in the ignition position how would the electro tap (if it still had one) and the igntion tell tale light work

many thanks
Cliff
