Hello All,
Went (as a spectator) to the Classic Bike Sprint at North Weald Airfield today. Some nice classic metal in action but no Morinis as far as I could see. SS 1/4 mile times for the classics ranged from 10 seconds through to the mid 20s so perhaps I'll give it a go for a bit of fun next year.
Anyway, on returning home, I realised I have lost all electrics (lights, indicators etc) on the Strada except for ignition. I didn't use the lights today but the indicators were certainly working fine on the road.
I've had a look for loose connections or blown fuses and nothing is obviously awry.
If this happened to you what would you check next and how? I have a multimeter and some basic electrical knowledge.
Thanks,
Strada Stu
Lost Electrics
Re: Lost Electrics
Had a similar issue (no lights etc but ignition OK) and traced to a poor contact in the actual fuse box - recall it being a loose rivetted spade terminal at the left hand end (looking at the fuse box). Would work intermittently when there was contact from the rivet to the connector bar behind. Not obvious at all, but from the wiring diagram had to be there and diligent wriggling of wires identified the dodgy terminal - was able to move the wire to a spare connection and all well since. Hope this helps!
