Hello everyone,
my bike has a strange oil leak and I really don't understand this.
When riding above 6500 rpm the oil pressure light switches on, I believe the oil is overheating and it goes out from the engine by the crankcase and cylinder head cover breather tubes. If I ride for about 100 km all the oil is gone and I have to refill the engine.
When riding under 6500 rpm the oil goes away slowly but I can do a lot more km.
Anyone has any idea where this can come from ?
Oil problem
Hi,
It might be worth running a compression test of both cylinders, sometimes due to a worn or stuck ring you could be getting 'piston blow by', which may create extra crankcase pressure causing excess oil to be vented. If one cylinder has less pressure than the other by a big amount, could be a clue. Let us know what you find.
Regards
Robin
