I stripped my K swinging arm out this morning fully intending to remove the old bushes.Started with a puller,then threaded bar with washers,sockets etc etc.Would it shift, not a bit of it.
Went to my local engineers (through a wooded lane with NO traffic lights!)
It took them nearly an hour, with increasingly large and worrying hammers,vices, allthread, sockets and welding gear.
The second one more or less fell out in panic, after seeing the really big hammer with a head the size of a breeze block.But they blasted the swing arm clean as well so a few beer vouchers and off I went. I may have fun putting the new ones in, when they arrive.They may get a severe cooling if they are recalcitrant.
No shim anywhere to be seen either.
