Club products page for the dating officer contact details. Scroll down from where you saw £20 for non members and the address you want is there. Yes, it's free for members!

ok thanks. i'll give that a go
Re: dating certificate
My experience with DVLA was that they wouldn't accept a dating certificate as proof of age - despite the club paying the requisite fee to be the recognised authority on dating Morinis.
They would rather trust the data from "Glass's Check Book" - fortunately the Moto Guzzi club were very helpful and gave me a copy of the Morini page which I've attached. As you can see it's a really useful and worthwhile source of data.

Re: dating certificate
They accept that when it is so inaccurate? Dual drum Sport in Jan 78? Really?

Re: dating certificate
How long ago was this experience? The Morini Riders Club have successfully done over 150 dating certificates in the last couple of years, indeed the club’s machine registrar has been called upon by the DVLA themselves to help clear up a few cases where we haven’t been previously involved.Al B wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024 09:38 My experience with DVLA was that they wouldn't accept a dating certificate as proof of age - despite the club paying the requisite fee to be the recognised authority on dating Morinis.

It’s true that the DVLA do like Glass’s, which I agree is not really very appropriate for Morini dating and not a patch on the records the club hold, which I do think the DVLA appreciate.
Club dating certificates are free to members and a bargain even for non members- keeping Morinis on the road is what the club exists for

Re: dating certificate
Not my experience either-I have had 3 Morini registered by DVLA and never any problem. Dating certificates used in each case. Last ones by the club service and previously via NLM. The page from the Glasses guide is miles from accurate!Al B wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024 09:38 My experience with DVLA was that they wouldn't accept a dating certificate as proof of age - despite the club paying the requisite fee to be the recognised authority on dating Morinis.

Re: dating certificate
regarding the dvla, i just handed over my v5 and v112 tax/mot exempt form, they didn't ask for proof of age just sent me a new v5 with 'historic' classification on it.

Maybe I just got an individual that wouldnt acccept the recognised (and fee paying) club's authority to date bikes

Re: dating certificate
I can endorse all the above. I have registered several with club dating certs and no issues with DVLA
