Added a Strada to the project list
I talked to a Morini owner from NC and his Strada project came home with me. Early bike with drum brake hubs. Engine is rebuilt and the rest is in boxes. The purchase included a later Strada parts bike with a bent frame but lots of good parts.

Re: Added a Strada to the project list
That's a pretty good start. Does the tank have a white stripe/flash (75-ish) or a black panel (76)?

Re: Added a Strada to the project list
It came with two tanks and two sets of side panels. I’ll pull them out tomorrow and take some pics.

nice start for a project bike!
somebody already spent some money on alloy rims and new spokes.
the original chrome rims corrode as soon as they get wet.

Congratulations on your new project, as others have indicated it looks like it'll be a beautiful bike when you've got it rebuilt.

It came with one aluminum wheel and a front hub. I’ll buy another rim and build the wheel.

Nice, just in time for Northern hemisphere winter!
I would love a close-up of the stickers on the blue tank, please.

nice picture of the fuel tanks ,
I never noticed, apparently Morini did the same as Guzzi , they changed the direction of the filler cap.
early caps flip forwards, later flip backwards.
the later setup was considered safer for the rider during a accident.
I wonder when they made the change...

Re: Added a Strada to the project list
The 1976 brochure shows Sport and Strada with rear-hinged filler caps. I have a tank from a 76 Strada (large black-painted panel on tank sides) which is the same.
Re: Added a Strada to the project list
looks like the change happened somewhere in 1975, the 1975 brochure has the forward flipping lid

The red one came from the parts bike. It has spoked wheels and a front disk. I think it’s a ‘75. It’s Charles’ tank now.

Re: Added a Strada to the project list
The parts bike was a freebie so I took it. Some of the parts already taken off are in the boxes but there’s still a lot of good stuff left to salvage.

The paint on that blue/white tank looks quite good.
