Re: fork stancions
Hi.
When I was restoring my Strada, I bought the Tarozzi ones (listed for Ducati Pantah and told Morini used same forks) and apart from having to make up spacers for the damper assy (later models had different damper assemblies) they are fine. Have no knowledge of the other ones you mention.

Re: fork stancions
I have used Brooks suspension to rechrome a set of stanchions and they appear ok. I have also used Tarozzi replacements.
Re: fork stancions
italian chrome has a well earned reputation for its lousy quality...
i prefer to have them rechromed.
a hydraulics specialist should be able to guide you to a good chrome plater, that is what they use for hydraulic cylinders.

A. M Philpott in Luton specialise in hard chroming fork tubes, they replate them and then grind back to the correct size. I had some BSA forks done about 3 years ago and the cost was about £160.
Their other trading name is Pitted Forks.

Re: fork stancions
ive heard about italian chrome but it seems that general quality has improved and buying stanchions would be a lot more convenient and then you have two sets which could be useful long term.
Id still like to be sure that pantah sl500 are ok

Except the chroming process isn't really planet friendly...Daddy Dom wrote:Reuse, reduce, recycle - rechrome.

Re: fork stancions
I had a look around and this was covered in this link:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4150&p=20448#p20420
The 'Duke SL500' tubes will fit (my Strada has them) but you might need to get extra parts and bits made to do so,depending upon what year your bike is...
