Greetings all. At the tender age of 19 years I was seduced by my 3 1/2 Sport and took her home. Actually, she took me home.
Thirty two years hence, we still share some lovely miles as life's panorama whirls past. Amidst jobs, kids, marriages, rebuilds, etc. we manage to ride with the ease of old friends tossing bull while tossing back the bitters.
Spares have become a challenge. I can get much from Herdan In Port Clinton, PA, and have even ordered across the pond from NLM.
Presently we are rebuilding the rear cylinder (broken valve & pushrod, stripped boss anchor in head). Being the Web Age, I stumbled onto this nifty community. Its nice to see you here.
Beneath the front cylinder where the upper frame mount bolt goes through the case is the number *04704*. I'm guessing this is the serial number. The model year is 1974. Oddly, if I had a nickel for every time somebody had told me to sell it, I could afford to run it forever. Go figure.
Cheers.
