Strada Petrol Cap

On my Strada which I've just bought I am having a major problem with Monday style petrol cap. It opened ok when first filled it but now I just can't open again. The push button moves but won't move past the rim of the filler. Any ideas please?

Start by spraying a lightweight lubricant in every nook and cranny. Then try pushing down on the cap a bit when you push on the button.

Try pushing the cap forward towards the button (from the hinged side) as you depress the button - the locking finger is in the front edge in front of the button so this should give it enough clearance to open.
