Tacho callibration

Post by Db7gtgrigio »

I am having my tacho callibrated but the repairer says he needs to know the imp (=impulse) figure, which is on a white sticker on the rear of the tacho. value on my sticker illegibly faded

Does anyone have a non faded sticker showing the imp value, and could they please post??

cheers

It's triggered from 1 cylinder with no wasted spark (stock ignition), so one pulse every two revolutions.

thanks Paul i have had someone else send me a photo of the sticker on rear of tach which says 5000 imp which seems consistent with one pulse every 2 revolutions for a 10,000 rpm maximum

My repairer (Jason Baverstock from Manly Auto Instrument Repairs and owner of 1 laverda and 5 Ducatis) says that the circuit board is identical to that used in the Ferrari Dino other than some minor differences to account for the Ferrari having 6 cylinders, and there is a chap in France making new Dino circuit boards who perhaps could be persuaded to do a run of Morni spec boards if there was sufficient demand. I can get the details of the French guy if anyone is feeling entrepreneurial.......
