I'm on with the restoration of a 1976 Strada (spoked wheels, disc front brake) While I'm pretty sure the paint scheme (see attached) is the original colour, can anyone confirm this looks familiar?
I know this history of the of the bike since the early / mid 80s but looking through images on Google, no other Strada appears in this colour. There is also no other evidence of earlier paint work other than black paint around the front lugs where the M7 bolts pass through. My feeling is that this champaign / metallic straw colour has appeared in published material but it would be nice to confirm I'm not imagining this.
Thanks for any help with this,
Chris I.

I'm sure I've seen that colour before too. Would agree it's likely to be the first paint as well. You can do it any colour you like of course but it would be nice to see another rare optional colour reproduced-there are plenty of silver and blue Stradas out there.

All donations to the rest home for old Camels, Leicestershire.

If you go to the Projects section, the first post on page two of the Paint Colours/Codes topic has a link to Soren's website. There's a photo there of a similar colour. And despite what Steve says, there's nothing wrong with a blue Strada! (Although we all like to see something a bit different).

Re: Confirmation of origional colour scheme.
Thanks Mark, Steve, for your suggestions.
Will explore Soren's link - have looked at other areas of his site - top man.
Agree also w.r.t. blue being rather nice. Years ago I bought from my sister her 1975 Strada which had the lovely blue / white combo, I kept it for many years. It eventually returned to that colour with a wonderful paint job done. (Hope you are still on the road OUA 301P).
With this one I've slowly grown fond of the unusual colour and now plan to keep it that way but with a new paint job, including the pin-stripe.
